Jack-O-Lantern

Our little Jack-O-Lantern! Thanks for the shirt, Nani & PaPa.

Fall Shoot!

Ben and I did a photo shoot with our boy. Can you tell we like to take pictures of him? :)
It did not go as smooth as it looks. I will share with you how it all started.
As I was gathering items for the pictures with Braylon on my back, and Daddy was still not home yet, I rounded a corner and heard a small thud. I did not realize Braylon was leaning far out to look around and see what I was doing. "Sorry Braylon! Did I bump your head?" I heard a soft whimper. Then he was fine. So, Daddy gets home and we proceed, placing him in the little rocking chair. Neither one of us was close enough, for he took a dive out of the chair head first into the floor. Hard crying this time and another bruise on his sweet face. After a few minutes, we were good to go again. The rest of the time was enjoyable. If you look at the picture in the last post, you can see the glistening left over tears under his eyes.
I just couldn't pick my favorite. So here are three of the same pose. This is Braylon's Tiger outfit for Halloween. He didn't mind the hood or getting his picture made. What a good sport!
He can be so focused on the smallest things sometimes. Infact, he will find the smallest crumb or piece of fuzz on the floor and try to pick it up.
Still trying to conquer our Jack-in-the-Box anxiety.

Our Blessing from the Lord!

Uncle Ty!

Uncle Ty came into town!

Grammy's Bday

Grammy flew down for a quick visit.
The bell is still a household favorite.
Showing off his 6 teeth.
Drum lessons with Daddy!
Happy birthday Grammy! How old are you?
Braylon climbed up into the seat and stood up all on his own. Yikes!

Our First Injury

I know this picture is a little graphic. Braylon was standing at the coffee table and dropped the water bottle he was playing with and dove for it. Sure enough, he bumped his chin and bit the under side of his tongue. Since our active boy doesn't slow down, the bleeding didn't either. So, around bedtime, after 6 hours of bleeding, the hemotologist recommended to take him the the Children's ER in the Med center. Ah! We headed out about midnight and didn't return home until 3:30am. Emergency rooms in general are not on the top of my list. Emergency rooms in Houston are just flat out creepy!

Braylon and his friend Jack

Braylon is not sure about ole Jack. He is 7 months, 3 weeks in this video. Thank you Linda & Mac for the Jack-in-the-Box!

Around the house...

Here are a few clips of our fun around the house. Braylon crawls all over the entire house.
He can finally close the little lids.
He loves finding the little nooks and crannies to explore.

Playtime in the living room.
Some how he enjoys playing under the rocking chair. This time he didn't even fuss. He squeezed out and crawled out from under the chair when he was finished.
This is an angled photo taken on our video monitor. I was watching him as he stood in his crib during "nap-time" (or the lack there of). I didn't get the actually standing stance, but this is an attempt.
Playin' with my car seat and watching a little Liverpool soccer on the laptop.
We're happy most of the time.
Sometimes the best way to get stuff done is strap him on. He loves being on my back during the day. He observes everything and tries to grab anything I get near. Sometimes the motion is just what he needs for a little snoozer.

The Bell!

This "Noah" bell (given to us by Aunt Linda) hangs in our kitchen and has a deep resonating sound when rung. This is Braylon's joy point every time we walk by it. I mean Braylon will almost jump out of your arms and gasp every time we walk by this bell. He can stand on the counter and reach it. We get such a delight out of watching our boy interact with "the bell."
