One Year!

My Baby has turned a year old! This is such a wonderful age! We can't believe the time has gone by, but we sure are enjoying everyday as they come. Here is a look at the past month.

Developments & Things to Remember:
-Loves to play chase with Daddy
-fast, fast crawler (esp. when he's naked)
-Loves to greet his Daddy at the door (they are buds)
-laughs and giggles
-very talkative (when he's sad, happy, eating, bathing, laying in bed awake...)
-repeats words, but they are still a little hard to understand
-recognizes voice tone (esp. when he's in trouble)
-likes to hide in Daddy's closet & play with whatever he can find
-puts toys or balls back where they belong (sometimes)
-still so intrigued by cords (Ah!)
-less than half the stuff goes into his mouth now
-loves to go for a stroll or be outside in the grass or anywhere
-loves to read books by himself, but esp. with Mommy
-still loves bath time
-Wears size 12-18 mo. clothes
-Wears size 4 diapers
-Wears size 6 shoes (just out grew his size 5's)(Yikes!)
-usually is taller than the kids in his class
-on Feb. 9th at the Blythe's house, he took his first steps
-since then he has walked 10 at max.; still not interested in making walking a habit
-eats like a big kid
-eats most anything (except highly acidic foods)
-loves apple juice, peanut butter, cheese, apples, pears, bananas, apple sauce, meat, ... most things
-nurses morning and evening (hence the reason I have had mastitis)
-cutting the afternoon nursing has been hard for him some days and easy others
-Daddy reads a Bible story at night and then rocks him before bed
-he sleeps inconsistently through the night, but most nights are from 8pm to 6am; nurse and back to sleep until 8 or 9am
-Eczema was cleared up, then had a small flare. Doing really well skin-wise.
-Still has 6 teeth (haven't checked back there to see if there is more)
-Eyes are still hazel/almond brown
-hair is coming in and is still rusty (not orange, but red-brown)
-has started crying when Mommy or Daddy leaves (whether at home or elsewhere)
-does well at restaurants (the majority of the time)
-loves other kids' toys (can play and explore for a long time at another's home)
-sings in the bath and at church

We love our precious Son! Thank you Lord for this wonderful Blessing!
